There are many lessons that we as business owners can learn from nature.

𝗜𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.
As in nature, those who have evolved to master their environment and who are adaptable to make the most from it, will be the ones who succeed and win.
Whilst normally in business we might be talking about the “physical” strength of a business, in terms of financial strength, systems, personnel, that may not always be the case when economic times are uncertain.
Yes, a strong financial base and good business systems may help see us through the current situation, but if we do not have that, where can we find our strength?
I am talking here about strength of mind and the strength of our resolve to get through this and, as I have said in a previous article, not just survive through it but thrive and grow through it.
We may not, right now, be able to change things like the amount of reserves that we hold or the structure of our business but the one thing that we can all change is our mindset.
What we need is the mindset of “𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣, 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙮 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙮 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 – 𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚.”
It is about taking a causative approach and making things happen rather than the “woe is me” approach of “what has happened to me” and being on the effect end of things.

Just like in nature
