Unusually ill health kept me away from this weeks meeting where Terry Maylin sadly announced the untimely death of our fellow member Michael Adelizzi after a long struggle with Cancer.
I will always remember him as a gentle man who brought more to our group than he took from us.
I thought some of us might like to share our feelings or express our condolences by adding comments to this short blog.
RIP Michael. Your smile always lit up the room.
such very sad news. i will miss him. Michael was a true gentleman and family man who didn’t have a bad word to say about anyone. Times like this put everything into perspective, what’s important in life and what’s not. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time. I will miss you Michael, rest in peace mate.
I couldnt agree more with what Dean had said above. Michael was a lovely, friendly man who I had the pleasure to do some work for myself and who also completed work for me at my home. His care and attention to detail was excellent and I was always happy to recommend him to anyone. A true gent.
We’ll miss you Micheal. Rest in peace.
RIP Michael. I only knew Michael for a short time but remember his warm welcome he gave to everyone combined with such a lovely and mild-mannered character. He’ll be sorely missed but glad he is a peace now. Sweet dreams Michael.
Michael was such a lovely man he always gave a cuddle when he arrived and always asked how you are. Will be missed but never forgottenRIP Michael xx
Michael always made me smile as he was always smiling! A real gent and lovely family man. He will be missed greatly and my thoughts are with Michael’s family at this time.
Michael and his team did a fair bit of work in my house and he is never far from my thoughts. My condolences are with his family at this sad time.
Such sad news. Michael was a truly kind and gentle man and a master craftsman. I was so impressed with his family’s heritage in traditional Italian flooring and tiling techniques. His 10 minute presentations always left be in awe, what back-breaking and skilled work! My thoughts are with his family, I’m sure he’ll leave a hole in their hearts which can’t be filled. His empty chair will be mourned at EBF for a long time to come.
It was a brief acquaintance for me with Michael, but he was an absolute gent, rest in peace now Michael, my condolences to your family & friends, I have no doubt you will be missed, but never forgotten.
Michael was one of natures true gentlemen: he enhanced the lives of all who knew him by simply being himself. Sadly missed.
My condolences to his family for their sad loss
RIP to Michael – An amiable, gentle gentleman who new his trade inside-out and had a lovely sense of humour. I will miss you very, very much!
Tonight I shall be raising a glass to the man who could supply only, or supply and fit!
Michael was without doubt one of the nicest of people . It was always a pleasure to see him because he always had a smile on his face .
He was really helpful when I did my dads house up going out of his way (and searching through his old storage room ) to find some tiles he thought he had which ‘would do the job nicely’ and of course they were perfect .
My condolences to the family and rip old friend you will be sadly missed . You were probably too modest to know the esteem in which you were held .
Such sad news. Michael was such a kind & considerate person who always asked how you were and genuinely meant it. A true family man who put them above all else so I am sure that he will be sorely missed. R.I.P. Michael.
