If you want more business then the first thing you need to do is start attending the Essex Business forum meetings. At these weekly meetings around 30 members and visitors meet and follow a fixed agenda aimed at generating more business for everyone.
Of course more business is not guaranteed, however you will have the opportunity to get to know lots of other Essex businesses, many of which will be in related trades or professions, and who will be happy to extend their “contact-pool” of customers and clients with you once they have got to know you.
It is not just the members in the room that provide new business, although most members do trade with each other, but the best business comes from introductions to third-parties through an existing member. You’ll find that these “warm leads” are very easy to convert as the member will normally have sung your praises and you only have to close the deal. Remember of course that it is the reputation of the member who passes your details that is also at stake, so all business referrals passed to you in this way a treated with respect and are followed up on promptly.
If business networking is not your thing, yet you still want more business, then two of our members (Scott Griffiths from Eseyo Web Design and Dawn Ribnell from Metloc Printers) can provide all of the marketing assistance you will require.
Scott is a specialist in Search Engine Optimisation, which is the art and science of getting your website listed on the first page of Google. If you dont have one then he can of course create a new website for you.
Dawn can provide just about any kind of printed material from effective business cards and stationary, to brochures and leaflets, all the way to exhibition stands and popup banners.
Scott and Dawn regularly work together on joint projects, or can be contacted individually. If you’d like to discuss marketing with either or them then why not visit our meeting and then chat over a coffee?
