There were 15 of us brave soles on this gray dull morning with Jane Maylon standing in for Aidan as Chairperson and Terry Maylin standing in for Scott Griffiths.

Jane kicked off the meeting promptly and introduced Ben Ben Golding who introduced todays Ed slot to be given by Vince Goode who teamed up with Paul Booth and an old school dial  telephone to educate us on telephone etiquette and in particular posture while on the phone as well as manner all of which are important as they convey to the person on the other end of the call your attitude and manner .

On behalf of Scott Terry gave the stats so far this month with Paul Booth in 3^rd, Matt Barry in 2^nd and way out front with a week left to record is John Hammond.

60 Second round- (but 75 seconds given)

Rosemarie Driscoll as the current holder of the Oscar kicked off the 60 second round by telling us what she has been doing to accommodate those that cannot go where they had originally booked due to the fires in Europe.

John Hammond has been helping the police with their inquires ( not in a bad way) by producing high quality CCTV images to help them identify the baddies.

Vince Goode brought a splendid selection of books and regaled us with the names of the various bindings that held them together.

Toby Acton gave us Just four ( not three)words: Calibration, Vision ,planning and execution.

Melissa Jackson is enraged by the Panorama program that failed to differentiate between qualified and licensed I P’s and debt management companies( and there are a lot of differences).

A very lively and entertaining 60 seconds round with most people using their allotted extra 15 seconds.

10 Minute Presentation

Ben Golding then let us know who is speaking over the next few weeks and who is doing an Ed slot and then introduced todays 10 minute speaker Mike Skinner

Mike Skinner selflessly gave us tips on taking photos and how to alter the camera settings to make the pictures as we would like them – who know that even a camera phone has shutter speed ISO  and exposure settings but they all do.

He demonstrated the various settings by use of pictures he had taken using a model Michaela who must be related to Mike as she bore an uncanny resemblance to him even the beard was very similar.

Synergy meeting report

Jane Maylon reported on a successful synergy meeting last Thursday straight after the meeting which continues to be well attended.

Announcements

In the absence of Richard Reed for any announcements it was left to Jane and Brian to refer to the EBF Summer gathering this Saturday at the secret scenery at 12-00 and to say its not too late to come – just turn up and pay on the door if you like.

This successful and lively meeting concluded at a very reasonable 8-20 with a reminder that there is no meeting next week.
