This was a meeting to like; 28 present, a couple of inductions, plenty of referrals and a good 10 minute presentation. What’s not to like!
Education Presentation
Presented by Jill Willis, she got us all out of our seats, got us all to form an orderly queue (orderlyish) and then shuffled us around to Illustrate which Synergy Teams we all belong to.
This helped clarify the importance of Synergy Teams in both getting to know each other’s businesses better and also generating the important referrals that are more likely to come from those with whom we have a Synergy.
An inventive and useful presentation. Let’s see if we can turn this into increased attendances at the various Synergy Team Meetings, details of which are presented to you by email regularly. Any doubts please ask any of the leadership team.
The 60 Second Round
Jo Eastwood was first up and told of her upcoming event, If you didn’t get the details chase her for them and let’s make sure we support her.
Jo Jones raised the excitement bar by talking of how she can manipulate soft tissue.
Donna Evans continues her saga of the Lady who is driving her mad. This time she was causing havoc over her pelmets. Is this code for something? !!!!
The School of Whimsy was in full flight. Alan Shaw had his week disrupted by the anticipation of someone coming back from China. Nick Cooke has been to see the optician but he really created very little insight into his chosen profession as a Structural Engineer. Brian Painter can always produce the bizarre. He seems to have sorted out the girl who had a fear of needles but wanted a tattoo. He now has a lady whose is contemplating an operation but has a fear of needles and knives. I had certain fears about a gruesome description but we were spared.
Back to reality with Stuart Smallcombe who warned us of using 118 numbers and illustrated how expensive it is to find and dial numbers through these particular organisations.
Some of our members this week were into lists. Lee Scarff listed recent EBF referrals demonstrating if nothing else his integration into the group. Dean Caldon on the other hand probably has a list of would be useful in a marketing version of the 12 days of Christmas. Last week he had 2 exchanges, 2 property maintenance issues, 3 tenant issues, 3 inspections, 4 valuation visits and 20 viewings. No birds in trees.
Our two new boys Mark Scarff and Bill Carey both illustrated the nature of the work they carry out. Bill Carey’s perhaps the more noteworthy in that he is involved in creating a crazy golf course.
Marcelle Saad illustrated the importance of keeping your 60 second separate from your 10 minutes by using every opportunity to explain about your business. This week was a contrast between medieval times when rings were only worn by kings and queens up to the modern day solitaire and other rings which us commoners can now afford. Michael Adelizzi was awarding the Oscar and after getting us to imagine him in his bathroom/ wet room he produced a 2 tier corner basket and a grab bar. He then awarded the Oscar to Marcelle and almost presented her with said grab bar rather than the Oscar itself.
This weeks statistics and points of note
- 25 Members present
- 2 new Members inducted, Bill Carey and Mark Scarff.
- 2 Visitors, Serena Almond whose application to join has been approved by the committee and will be inducted next week. Steven Bower, a first time visitor
- 28 referrals,
- £5,000.00 worth of business recorded.
10 minute presentation by Marcelle Saad
It was Marcelle Saad’s turn after a break of a couple of years and she produced an excellent slide show to illustrate the nature of diamonds, diamond cutting , her place in the diamond food chain and as reward for her clarity of presentation she received 2 referrals for engagement rings…now there’s a result. A really great presentation.
Meeting summary
We continue to demonstrate that with attendance numbers around the 28 mark and upwards the meeting becomes much more vibrant and the increased numbers does directly reflect the numbers of referrals passed. With 2 new members, Cathy Neat and Serena Armond to be inducted next week, it is nice to see all the new members and the boost that they give to the group.
good meeting everyone and a big well done to Marcelle too, great 10 minutes. see you all next week
Another great meeting and brilliant to induct more new members.
My own 60 seconds didnt get a mention in this weeks blog, but it did generate some enquiries for me. I received 7 referrals from this weeks meeting! Currently Terry Maylin is enjoying a trial of my live chat software. I’m not suggesting for a moment that you all visit his website (http://www.tm-law.co.uk) and help him to evaluate this tool by chatting with him, as this would be childish and immature on my part. Actually…. I AM Childish and immature so go fill your boots.
The meeting looked like a great one as usual reading the blog all very lively and productive , sorry I could not be there but at late notice I had to be on site early. regrettably I missed your 10 minutes Marcelle hopefully catch up very soon.
Kevin

A Greek salad in Cyprus?! Is this allowed? Surely its a Cyprian salad?
Greek salad on the Northern side?
Great meeting all and a BIG thanks to all of you who have kindly donated to my fund raising effort this weekend ( 100 mile ride) and in 10 days time (only 88 miles across the Pennines)

Another Great meeting I particularly enjoyed the Ed slot thank you for that Jill and Marcelle’s 10 minute presentation very enjoyable 👍😊
A particularly good 10 min presentation this week – well done Marcelle.
A vibrant meeting and very enjoyable one. Fascinating 10 minutes from Marcelle (do you read the blog?) Good to have new members joining the premier networking group, we’re heading towards forty!
excellent meeting reflecting the increased numbers and positive imput of our new members. I will also endorse a very well structured and presented 10mts from Marcelle.
Unfortunately it’s a couple of weks running now where my 60 seconds hasn’t got me a mention… suppose I’ll have to go back to wow factor offers.
Great Meeting as always and a good Ed Slot Jill.
Nice to see EBF is still going strong..
Glad you all enjoyed an active ed slot! Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday.
