As we start our fourth heat wave, at 6:00 AM the temperature was good and the only problem was the sound of the fans at the venue and the surprise that granola is not more popular. Once again in Scott Griffiths absence it was the TM Law dream team presiding.

Education Slot
It was my subject today and the essence of my message was that we should make best use of the blog in order to advertise the EBF presence to Essex and the world. Not only would more comments be appreciated but most importantly that you share with your social media the blog. It will get you 8 extra points per week….. What’s not to like!
60-Second Presentation Round
Toby Acton was presiding and therefore he started the ball rolling. Without any metaphorical reference his message was that nothing really changes. His advice to businesses is unchanged from year to year. It’s more a matter of keeping focused.
Sally Waters made her pitch this week for customised products to assist companies with sponsored events. Her product has the benefit of being memorable.
Paul Corrigan generally was simply ticking along so far as plumbing was concerned. It’s the air conditioning that understandably is creating high demand. The message is, although he can assist with air conditioning because of the rush the kit isn’t available for installation anytime soon.
Blake Hammond emphasised his availability to give AI advice. Catherine Foley, because of AI can review your website content either on a one-off basis or with one of her packages based on time spent per month.
The group was in largely contemplative mood emphasising the importance of planning as we go through the summer and deliver our various products. Dave Roberts is available to install home batteries, Clara gives advice regarding your mortgage situation and Stuart Smallcombe will help with his various services, all of which rely upon the quality of your network… and he can definitely help you with that.
Terry Maylin was pointing out his personal injury credentials and the importance of pursuing claims for negligence where you have suffered injury. Claims are currently down through government intervention in the process discouraging claims. Don’t be shortchanged, if you have suffered such injuries.
This week Toby awarded Silvia Neveda the Oscar for new business that she had won in the construction industry recently.
Meeting Secretaries Report
So excited was I to get us towards the 10 minutes presentation that it was only later on in the meeting that Terry Maylin was called upon to give his report but nonetheless it is more than worth a mention. This month business recorded is in excess of £60,000 and there have been 36 referrals
10-Minute Presentation by Howard Bullock
Howard Bullock of Clear Financial Advice was this week’s presenter. As always, his advice was clear. He showed us how he dealt with investment platforms for his clients and warned us about IHT on pensions. It is important that we all take note of this recent introduction of another source of wealth for the government where there are continued benefits for your beneficiaries after your death. You really should know the extent of this.
As always, well presented. Many of us have our investments in his hands and we all feel confident in that.
When the meeting broke up there was the added bonus this week of a Synergy Team Meeting for business to consumer and there was a good turnout, as always for Janes well-constructed event.
Sorry that I missed the meeting but looking forward to this week.
