Great turnout- 25 Members and a bright sunny day to lift everybody’s spirits.
Performance League
John Freeman is this week’s leader followed closely by Saj Sreedharan, Scott Griffiths is third. Nice to see new names on the leader board.
Education Presentation
Standing in for David Plumley all I had to do was introduce Nick Cooke who produced his thought for the day. He reminded us of the need to ensure that when we are contacted by potential clients/Customers we sell ourselves positively to them. Have some sort of information immediately you provide them with. You should be dealing with them in a way that would encourage them to come back to you.
The 60 Second Round
Jo Eastwood suggested a multi 1-2-1 at her premises with the availability at least of a bottle of wine to help things work well. We should take her up on this idea. It will amount to something similar to the current Synergy Team Meetings and we know from past experience how useful these things can be.
Ben Golding boasted that he had become a “product of the product”. He was in fact emphasising his own use of Utility Warehouse benefits. At first sight I though he was telling us he was turning into pig or limiting his diet to pork, but none of it. Saj Sreedharan successfully produced bouquets for a local football club, its colours being mirrored in the flowers. He is looking for Rugby clubs. If they all have green shirts that will make life simpler for him if not as attractive.
The School of Whimsey was not particularly prominent this week. Alan Shaw clearly slept through his alarm clock. Nick Cooke described exactly what he did. Which of course is no good at all. Brian Painter looked promising when he told us of somebody getting stuck in the lift, on the tube train and in a public loo. He suffers from severe claustrophobia and panic attacks. Apparently, Brian feels if he can tackle one of the problems the others will follow. My uninformed suggestion should be the public loo. Even Allan Moller was pretty on message but he is still looking for those fill-in jobs on his way home. I think we need more information Alan.
Vincent Goode is still bragging his 35 years in whilst at the same time effectively demonstrating the sort of banners that he can produce. It was huge! ….and advertised him and his products. If he was advocating that size counts, Stuart Smallcombe was talking dirty IT and Howard appeared to feel obliged to mention dirty pensions. A theme was developing.
Another theme was struck by Mike Rogers, namely that he saw his job was to educate people with information. He illustrated that with his reasons why the Green Cross Code shouldn’t work. He was expressing something that we all should be looking to do, namely educate our clients to enable them to give us the best possible instructions.
This week Jo Eastwood awarded the Oscar to Marcelle Saad who made reference to various testimonials that she had received from satisfied customers who had experienced the wonderful rings and stones that she combines so effectively. I was waiting for the ultimate accolade, “I would not have married him but after he showed me the ring I couldn’t say no”. The testimonials she quoted however certainly seemed to represent the sort of quality that those who of us have dealt with her know she can produce
This weeks statistics and points of note
- 25 Members present
- 24 referrals
- £7,500.00 worth of business recorded
- Marcelle Saad won the Oscar
- John Freeman is in the lead in the Performance League.
10-minute presentation by Stuart Smallcombe
My second bit of multitasking was simply to introduce Stuart Smallcombe
Stuart delivered a very slick presentation with the use of the projector showing himself and his team and details of exactly what they do. Mention must be made of Vince Goode’s banner which helped act as a blackout and Tina’s efforts in trying to hold it up… at times. We have seen several presentations from Stuart. I think this was undoubtedly the best to date.
Excellent informative and humorous 10 minutes from Stuart Smallcombe whilst still getting his message across, lively 10 minute round with plenty of referrals, whats not to like?
25 members present on this sunny morn which set the tone for yet another excellent meeting. Well done to little John and Saj for leading the way in our internal league and apparently Vince has developed a sizest attitude from somewhere. Very informative 10mts from Stuart.
Excellent 10 minutes Stuart and a great meeting. Have a great weekend everyone and see you all next Thursday.
A thoroughly enjoyable breakfast meeting today, even though the gates were closed for early arrivals, I 2nd Scots statement, Stuarts 10-minute presentation is a contender for best of the year to date, along with my own of course 😉 I am looking forward to Jo’s mass 1-2-1 too 😊 I’m in!
As for being the leader now, its not hard to put forward EBF’rs to my family, friends & clients, quality people, and businesses all round!
See you all next week.
