First meeting of a New Year – 24 in attendance plus 1 visitor – John Probert of Utility Warehouse invited by Steve Carmichael-Brown.
Slightly lower attendance than normal. Possibly a hang over (in its broadest sense) from the Christmas/New Year break. Let us see how close we can get to full attendance next week!
The 60 seconds round was once more graced by the laughing caterpillar, apparently its last appearance until next Christmas. The 60 second round was otherwise short and snappy enlivened by the unedifying sight of our Pilgrim, Brian Painter, dancing to caterpillar noises. I think he is trying to instil in our collective subconscious a phobia for caterpillars or Strictly Come Dancing. Hopefully this will boost his referrals in the coming week.
Oscar won by Colin Beckett – well done.
All Power Groups are meeting this month. Please make sure that you check with the relevant Secretary for confirmation of the dates and times. Let’s make 2012 a year when we fully develop and make use of our Power Groups. Coincidentally I have this morning received a referral from a Member of the Finance Power Group who is not a Member of EBF so attendance can be beneficial.
The referrals round started the New Year with a bang – total business declared in excess of £38,500.00 a substantial part of which was a referral between Kim Douglas and Neal Lewer. Neal looked tired.
Scott Griffiths was declared the winner of the EBF Performance league for December 2011, followed closely by Kevin Radford and Paul Booth.
Steve Carmichael-Brown produced an energetic 10 minutes which then became renewably energetic by a further 18 minutes. Interesting and informative to quote a previous Member of the Group.
Remember next weeks 60 seconds must contain a reference to a New Years Resolution in the context of your business.
Look forward to seeing you all next week.
